NOT JUST A PRETTY FACE
The search is finally over. The JeffreyHogueRealtor.com Action Track USA, located in Kutztown, Pa. will be getting new angels for the 2014 season. Representing as the Action Track Angels will be Kim Carman, Amanda Archer, Carly Hendrickson and Amber Britto.
“What many people don’t realize is that there is more to our girls than just a pretty face,” said Action Track USA co-owner Doug Rose, “We are proud to say that every one of our angels come from a racing background.”
Kim Carman, daughter of Darryl Carman, three-time champion at Flemington Speedway and a four-time champion at East Windsor is very excited to be an Action Track Angel. “I’ve been going to the track for many years as a crew member. By taking on a new roll I’m looking forward to interacting with the fans, drivers and crews. I hope to make every week at the track more enjoyable for everyone.” Kim spends most of her time bouncing between Bridgeport to support her boyfriend, Gary Hieber and at New Egypt to support her brothers, Matt and Mike Carman. Kim has been involved in racing since she was a child and likes to spend most of her time at the races with her friends and family.
Amanda Archer, granddaughter of John Chemidlin, owner of the EG Tire and Auto 747 sprint car and modified driven by Davey Sammons and Ryan Godown, is another great addition to the Action Track. Amanda, current student at Mercer County Community College tries to find as much time as possible in her busy schedule between work, school and soccer to cheer on her grandfathers cars. “I look forward to not just being a fan in the grandstands but being interactive with the drivers as well and making sure everyone is having a great time.”
Carly Hendrickson, granddaughter of Lee Hendrickson, former racecar driver of the Z1 at East Windsor and niece of Wade Hendrickson, three-time champion at Bridgeport Speedway, has been a fan of racing since she was little. “It’s an addiction. It has literally become my lifestyle,” said Hendrickson. Carly, very passionate about racing, is looking forward to being an angel. “It’ll be a great experience to see the races from a different view other than just as a spectator. Just being a part of the races in a new and fun way is an awesome opportunity.”
Amber Britto, driver of the 43A slingshot, has been behind the wheel for three years and is the first in her family to do so. “I got involved in racing because I had a really good friend who loved it and watching her enjoy herself because of her accomplishments inspired me to give it a try,” said Britto. Amber, who was an Action Track Angel in 2013 is looking forward to coming back. “There is nothing like having the opportunity to get to know the fans that make the sport all that it is and to have a chance to give back is what makes racing so different from any other sport.” While working as an angel at the Action Track you can find Amber making time to strap into her slingshot every Wednesday night along with Linda’s Speedway every Friday night.
The management of the Kutztown, Pa. Action Track USA is enthused for these girls to be joining the team. “They’re a great addition to the track because they all come from a racing background. They aren’t just another pretty face posing next to the driver in uniform,” said Action Track USA public relations manager Mandee Pauch, “With all of the fun and new activities we will be having at the track I look forward to working with the girls.”
