Action Track USA: Three Times One Equals Excitement Filled Week In Kutztown
Fans Invited For Victory Lane Photos This Sunday
KUTZTOWN, PA (June 9, 2018) – The race fans and competitors who pack the Championship Energy Action Track USA facility on the Kutztown Fairgrounds each week have long lamented the fact that the racing season is so short at the Berks County oval. The slate of events from mid-May to mid-August literally flies by each year, and then racing junkies are left to wait, and wait, and wait until the next season begins.
That is why the upcoming week will be pure delight for the Action Track USA faithful, because they will have the chance to witness (and compete in) not one, not two, but three racing programs in an eight-day time period!
Co-promoters Rich Tobias and Doug Rose have scheduled events for this Sunday, June 10 – when FIVE features will be presented for the price of three – and again on Wednesday, June 13, when at least six of USAC’s brightest stars will test their skills in SpeedSTRs and 600cc Sprints. It’s the Flying Farmer 40 for the SpeedSTRs, and the winner will go home with a nifty $3,000 paycheck. The week of thrills and (hopefully not too many) spills will culminate on Sunday, June 17, with bicycle giveaways to the younger fans in attendance.
Coming up first on this week’s Action Track agenda is the Sunday, June 10 program – Scout Night. Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts who wear their uniform to the races will receive FREE admission! Pit Gates open at 2:30 PM, Grandstand Gates at 3:30 PM and warm-ups will start at 4:30 PM, followed by the 600cc Mad Scramble – for cars that didn’t qualify on June 3 – then the Slingshot and 600cc Sprint Car make-up features, followed by a full program for the SpeedSTRs, 600s, and Slingshots.
And here is an added bonus, just announced, for Sunday’s show: when the grandstand gates open at 3:30, there will be a SpeedSTR parked in Victory lane (with the Weaknecht Archery Victory Lane banner in place) for race fans to come down and take pictures/selfies of themselves, kids or friends in Victory Lane!
Fans will also receive the benefit of dual features for the 600cc Sprint Cars and Slingshots for the regular Adult General Admission price of $14, Senior Citizens $12, Kids (6-12) $5, and Children 5 and Under FREE!
Then, in one of the more unique promotions you’ll find anywhere, Championship Energy Action Track USA in cooperation with Aqua Duck Water Transport and the Low Down Dirty Radio Show is offering a $2,000 bonus to any USAC competitor that can win any Wednesday, June 13 main event at Action Track – SpeedSTR, 600cc Sprint Car, or Slingshot — and a race on the USAC Eastern Storm swing. As of June 8, “the Macho Man” Brady Bacon, “T-Mez” Thomas Meseraull, “the Bear” Chris Windom, “Sunshine” Tyler Courtney, “the Peoples’ Champ” Dave Darland, and “KTJ” Kevin Thomas Jr. have indicated they will be gunning for the bonus by wheeling SpeedSTRs and/or wingless 600 Sprints against the Action Track USA regulars.
If the Wednesday, June 13 event goes unclaimed a $500 bonus will be offered up to the first Eastern Storm winner that competed at Championship Energy Action Track USA.
On Wednesday, June 13 the SpeedSTRs take center stage for the Flying Farmer 40, a 40-lap, $3,000 to win special. The Wednesday night opener also includes the Hyper Racing 600cc Sprint Cars and the Slingshots. Wednesday night pit gates open at 4 PM, General Admission Tickets go on sale at 5 PM, and hot laps begin at 6 PM, followed by qualifying for all divisions.
Adult General Admission pricing for the Flying Farmer 40 is $18, Senior Citizens are $15, Children (6-11) are $8, and Kids 5 and Under are FREE!
Two-wheeled thunder, as in pedal-powered bicycles, will be given away to some lucky youngsters on Sunday, June 17, as the week of high speed adventure wraps up in a program that features the USAC All Pro SpeedSTRs, the Hyper Racing 600 Sprints, and the All Star Slingshots. Warm-ups begin at 5 p.m., with qualifying events immediately following the hot lap sessions.
