Kutztown’s Action Track USA Rained Out On May 21; Huge Event Coming Up On Wednesday, May 28

Kutztown, PA – Showers and thunderstorms ruined any chance of racing on Wednesday, May 21, at the JeffreyHogueRealtor.com Action Track USA on the Kutztown Fairgrounds. Little League/ Non-Profit Night was, unfortunately, washed away and race organizers Rich Tobias and Doug Rose are perusing the schedule in an attempt to reschedule it.

Coming up on Wednesday, May 28, is KME First Responder Night presented by Pocono Raceway, a huge event featuring live fire truck demonstrations behind the grandstand and a chance for Action Track USA attendees to participate in a most worthwhile cause – donating some much needed blood to area hospitals and medical facilities.

The Miller-Keystone Bloodmobile will be on hand at the speedway from 3-7 p.m. People interested in donating blood, which is in extremely short supply right now, can sign up prior to May 28 by logging on to www.giveapint.org and signing up under Action Track USA.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERARepresentatives from Pocono Raceway will also be in attendance on Wednesday, along with the track’s pace car, and they’ll have some free tickets to give away for upcoming 2014 race events at the Mattioli family’s 2.5-mile “Tricky Triangle” in the scenic Pocono Mountains. And that’s not all…

Action Track USA will be unleashed, USAC style, as Dirty Dan and his gang conduct a live broadcast of the increasingly popular Internet radio show, USAC Unleashed! They’ll set up a mobile studio on the speedway grounds as the show streams world-wide on the web, with interviews and live racing action from the quarter-mile oval in Kutztown.

Bob Hilbert Sportswear, the official apparel vendor of the JeffreyHogueRealtor.com Action Track USA, will greet the fans with some awesome giveaways on Wednesday, as the second racing program of the 2014 season takes center stage at the track nestled on the fairgrounds just across the street from Kutztown University.

The USAC Championship SpeedSTR’s, led by opening night feature winner Billy Pauch, Sr., will compete in a full program of qualifying action, topped off by a $2,000-to-win, 30-lap main event.

Joining the SpeedSTR’s on Wednesday’s menu are the Pioneer Pole Building Wingless 600cc Sprints and the NAPA Auto Parts All Star Slingshots. The Wingless 600’s waged a tremendous fight for victory on opening night, with Kyle Lick emerging with the $700 triumph after a somewhat controversial last-lap pass of Jay Hartman. The first race of the year boasted a 600cc car count of 52, with another banner field expected on the 28th.CityofGalionweb-1

Mark Sensenig will lead the All Star Slingshots into battle, hoping to pick up his second straight victory of the season. A terrific ensemble of 37 Slingers took part in the opener on May 14, with at least that many anticipated to sign in for race number two. And that will make Sensenig’s task all the more difficult, as the talented competitors do their best to keep the Leesport driver from repeating his win of two weeks ago.

For your midweek motorsports adrenaline rush, you’ve gotta come out to Wild Wednesdays at the JeffreyHogueRealtor.com Action Track USA on the Kutztown Fairgrounds…where the Superstars come to race!
