Dick Tobias Classic 60 Laps, the Season Finale this Sunday 8/17/14

SEASON FANALE is here at the JeffreyHogueRealtor.com Action Track. This Sunday night August 17th is the Dick Tobias Classic featuring a 60 lap main event for the USAC Championship SpeedSTR’s along with a full program of the Pioneer Pole Building’s 600 wingless sprints and the Napa Allstar Slingshots. This is the last race night of the 2014 season and all 3 Championships will be decided.

Billy Pauch Jr. holds a slim point lead over dad (Billy Pauch Sr.), followed closely by Kenny Brightbill and Jeff Strunk. World of Outlaw Late Model Champion, Rick Eckert has confirmed he plans to come grab the $5000.00 winner’s purse this Sunday. Eckert is also the defending champion of the Dick Tobias Classic. Yankowski Motorsports will be fielding 3 SpeedSTR’s with midget hotshoe Timmy Buckwalter behind the wheel of one along with Steven and Frank Yankowski. ROC standout Anthony Perrego plans to trek down from NY to grab the winners share along with Dale Planck. Ryan Smith looked outstanding in only his second appearance aboard the Lamar Schaffer #97. MAS trucking and Kovatch Motorsports will each field 2 cars with Kyle Weiss and JJ Grasso in the MAS cars and John Kovatch IV and Mike Bednar in the Kovatch cars. Don’t miss out on the season finale this Sunday night. All these superstars and many more will being vying for the 5 grand winners share in the 60 lap main event.

This past Wednesday night Fair National 40 lapper for the 600 Wingless Sprints was a battle of the elite. The names that battled in the entire top 10 were amongst the who’s who in Micro Sprint racing Pauch Jr., DiMatia, Buckwalter, Lick, Hartman’s, Rutherford, Morris, Kunkle, & Strada. These guys put on a whale of show and we expect the same insane racing for the Dick Tobias Classic. Jay Hartman is looking to retain his championship status although Pauch Jr. and Rutherford have plans to take it away in this Sunday’s finale.

The Napa Allstar Slingshots have a super battle going on for the 2014 championship. Brett Bieber has had the point lead for several weeks, but defending champion, Buccafusca and Raifsnider have been chipping away week after week with solid runs and are looking to leap into the top spot Sunday night.

Come out and cheer on these great racers as the duke it out for championship status. Thank you all for a wonderful season.

Pit gates open at 4:00, Grandstand gates at 5:00, and cars hit the track at 6:00. See you all Sunday!!!
