Action Track USA Has BIG Plans for Wingless 600 Sprints; Hyper Returns As Title Sponsor. Opening night May 14th!

Kutztown, PA – The fans who pack the grandstand each week at the JeffreyHogueRealtor.com Action Track USA definitely know their racing and they are certainly passionate about it. And they often liken the clay-churning, three and four-wide, sideways and inches apart competition presented by the 600 Sprints to the outstanding wingless shows waged by the Midgets and Sprint Cars in the midwest. And those wingless 600 warriors who gas their mounts at the Kutztown, Pa. oval absolutely love to “get up on the wheel” for the Action Track USA crowd on Wednesday nights from the middle of May through mid-August.

Co-promoters Rich Tobias and Doug Rose appreciate the efforts of the wingless 600 Sprint competitors, and once again this year they are showing that appreciation in a big way. For the second consecutive season, they are teaming with Mike Dicely and Hyper Racing to make Action Track USA the most lucrative place to race, on a weekly basis, for the 600cc wheel-twisters, in terms of both cash and contingency prizes. But that’s not the only reason why the wingless 600 throttle-jockeys make the trek to Berks County for their midweek motorsports adrenaline rush…

Drivers know that, in addition to the money and contingency awards, Action Track USA on the Kutztown Fairgrounds is the place to be on Wednesdays in the summertime. The best of the best race there, and it is possible – because it’s been done on more than one occasion – to come from deep in the field and win on the progressively banked and always ultra-racy clay surface. Two years ago, Tim Buckwalter had issues in qualifying and was therefore relegated to a 25th starting position for the feature. Taking advantage of a car that was now humming to perfection, as well as a few double-file restarts after caution flags, Buckwalter roared to victory. And just last season, “the Edge”, Eddie Strada, did him one better by starting 26th and charging to a wildly popular victory.

Of course, the lure of the money is there, too…to the tune of $500 to win and $50 to take the green flag in the feature on a weekly basis. Those numbers are based on 36 or more cars entering the evening’s competition – and that has not been a problem during the four-year reign of Tobias and Rose.
Want to take home even more cash for winning the wingless 600 Sprint main? Take the Gambler’s Challenge by paying an extra $20 when entering your car, and you could go home with a whopping $700 for winning the 25-lap feature!
There will also be a “Hyper Bonus” this season, where the highest finishing driver in a Hyper Chassis will receive an extra $50.

The “Big 3” races for the Hyper Racing Wingless 600 Sprints will also return in 2017, and that is one-quarter of the season’s schedule. Beginning with the King of No Wing 40-lapper on May 24, the first two events of the “Big 3” will pay $1,000 to win (with Gambler’s Challenge). The second of the $1,000 to win (with Gambler’s Challenge) races is the 4th Annual Tri-Track Challenge presented by AEI Equipment on July 12.
The biggest race of the Action Track USA season for the 600 Sprint drivers is the annual Kutztown Fair Nationals on August 16. The winner of the 60-lap main event will grab a $2,000 pay envelope (with Gambler’s Challenge) and rest in the knowledge that he/she just captured glory in the longest 600 Sprint race in the country.

Back again is the popular Mad Scramble, the ten-lap dash that kicks off the evening of high speed adventure each Wednesday. The race is limited to drivers who did not qualify or did not attend the previous week. The Mad Scramble winner transfers directly to that night’s feature and gets a $25 perk from the Hosensack Poker Club.
Drivers finishing second through tenth in the Mad Scramble receive very valuable contingency prizes: the runner-up gets a brand new Hoosier RR tire, while the third place finisher receives ten gallons of Methanol, courtesy of Road Runner Race Fuels and VP Fuel.
An RTS Chassis gift certificate awaits the fourth place finisher, and the driver placing fifth in the Mad Scramble gets a TSL Shocks gift certificate. The sixth place finisher receives a gift certificate from Kreitz Oval Track Parts, while the driver taking the checkered in seventh earns four (4) FK Rod Ends.
A Saldana Racing Products gift certificate goes to the eighth place driver, and a free nightly registration at Action Track USA is awarded to the racer finishing ninth. The tenth place driver will receive a Pyrotect Racing Cells gift certificate.

The JeffreyHogueRealtor.com Action Track USA and Linda’s Speedway in Jonestown, Pa. will combine efforts once again in 2017 for a series of five Action Track Takeover Nights at Linda’s. The first one occurs this Friday, April 21, and features the USAC All Pro SpeedSTRs, the Hyper Racing Wingless 600 Sprints, and the All Star Slingshots.
The other Action Track Takeover Nights at Linda’s Speedway will happen on June 9, July 7, September 1, and September 15.
There is plenty of incentive for 600 Sprint drivers to enter all of the races in this series, as well as all of the Wednesday shows at Action Track USA, because the Hyper Racing Attendance Awards will continue for the second year in a row.
At the annual awards banquet in January, those drivers eligible for the Hyper Racing Attendance Awards will have their names placed in a hat and drawn for the following prizes: a Hyper 600cc frame, valued at $2,195.00; a rear axle assembly, worth $1,165.00; a set of four Keizer wheels; and a complete 600 Sprint FK Rod End package.

When the new season takes the green flag on Sunday, May 14, at Action Track USA in Kutztown (yes, the opener is on a Sunday this year), a nice bonus has been posted by Lamar Shaffer of LHS Racing Engines. For the Mother’s Day Opener on May 14, Shaffer is offering an extra $200 to the first driver across the Wingless 600 finish line using an LHS power plant. The second highest finisher with an LHS engine will receive $100, and the third pilot taking the checkered flag with an LHS motor will get an extra $50.

Details are still being worked out, but there will be at least one cash dash this season for the wingless 600 Sprints, courtesy of driver Doug Snyder.

With all of the cash and contingency incentives, the capability of starting deep in the pack and still having a chance to win, race in front of a large and adoring crowd, and the knowledge that, if you can win at Action Track USA then you have truly beaten the best, why would wingless 600 Sprint racers not travel to Kutztown every Wednesday to get their midweek motorsports adrenaline rush?
